Bookmarks

BabelMap allows you to define bookmarks for up to 32 Unicode characters, allowing you quickly access frequently used characters, or to quickly return to a character of interest at a later time. The Bookmarks menu allows you add, remove, and manage your bookmarks, and to navigate to any bookmarked character.

Manage Bookmarks ...

Selecting the Manage Bookmarks ... option opens a dialog box that allows you to manage your bookmarks.

The Manage Bookmarks dialog box allows you to:

• Add new bookmarks. Press the "Add ..." button to open the Add Bookmarks dialog box. This dialog has an edit box in which you can add one or more characters to bookmark, entered as a space-separated list of hexadecimal code points. If you press "OK" the list of code points will be parsed, and all valid code points that are not in reserved blocks and are not already bookmarked will be added as new bookmarks (up to the maximum limit of 32 bookmarks).

  

• Delete exising bookmarks. Select one or more bookmarks in the list of bookmarks, and press the "Delete" button to remove the selected bookmarks.
• Delete all existing bookmarks. Press the "Delete All" button to remove all bookmarks from the list.
• Sort the list of bookmarks by code point or by character name. Click on the column header labelled "Code Point" or "Character Name" to sort these columns.

Add Bookmark

If a character in the character grid is highlighted, you may add a bookmark for it be selecting "Add Bookmark" from the Bookmarks menu, or by pressing the Insert button.

Remove Bookmark

If a highlighted character in the character grid is bookmarked, you may remove the bookmark for this character by selecting "Remove Bookmark" from the Bookmarks menu, or by pressing Ctrl+Delete.

Clear All Bookmarks

You may remove all defined bookmarks by selecting "Clear All Bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu.

Goto Bookmark

All defined bookmarks are listed at the bottom of the Bookmarks menu. Clicking on any bookmark will directly navigate to the bookmarked character.
