𗍻 [²ja₃] 'lamb' is constructed from the left side of 𗍿 [¹lew₁] 'full, complete' and the middle of 𗂽 [²e₄] 'sheep' {𗍿𘊱𗂽𘁝} babelstone.co.uk/Tangut/WenhaiL…

Aside from Sea of Writing, this character is only attested in Mixed Characters and Homophones (babelstone.co.uk/Tangut/Tongyin…), both of which give the word 𗒤𗍻 [¹gur₄ ²ja₃] 'yearling lamb' (?).

The derivation of 𗍻 [²ja₃] 'lamb' from 𗍿 [¹lew₁] 'full, complete' probably refers to sheep of this age having a complete set of teeth, i.e. 'full mouth' at about 36 months (dpi.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/…); cf. the Sea of Writing construction and definition for 𗒇 'six-tooth lamb'.
