𘍦 [¹e₄] 'appearance' is constructed from the left side of 𘍞 [¹oq₂] 'round' and the top and right of 𘟣 [¹du₄] 'to have' {𘍞𘊱𘟣𗡼} babelstone.co.uk/Tangut/WenhaiL…

𘍦 corresponds to Chinese xiàng 'appearance'. It is used in the name of the Dharani-Sutra of the Victorious Buddha-Crown 𗵣𗖻𘍦𗠁𗄊𗧯 and on the title of the two pillars in Baoding on which this dhāraṇī is engraved: 𘍦𗠁𘞃 = 勝相幢 'Pillar of Victorious Appearance'.

Erected in the 9th and 10th months of the 15th year of the Hongzhi era of the Ming dynasty (1502), these two dharani pillars are the latest surviving monuments in the Tangut script and language. I visited them in 2013 and then again in 2017 babelstone.co.uk/BabelDiary/201…
