Back in September 2019, when the world was a very different place, my friend Sergey Dmitriev started to organize a festschrift in honour of the 90th birthday of M. V. Sofronov (b. 11th October 1929), and last week it was finally published as Тангутская и китайская филология. К юбилею М. В. Софронова

Sergey has now made the pdf of the entire volume available for download from www.academia.edu/121617753, with twenty-two essays from all the usual suspects

I am honoured to have made a couple of small contributions to the volume. With @cosmicore.bsky.social we analysed this mysterious fragment showing an unidentified script that was discovered in 2005 at the Western Xia Shanzuigou Caves (山嘴沟石窟) site in the Helan Mountains

I also wrote about the Tangut-engraved funerary stele of Xiaoli Qianbu 小李鈐部 (1191–1259) which was uncovered in 2013 at Daming in Hebei, and discuss how it provides evidence for prenasalized voiced obstruents in Tangut, as reconstructed by Sofronov in his Grammar of the Tangut Language (1968)
